← All work The Rocket · Narrative film · 2026 festival tour

A small film about grief. No dialogue required.

Sometimes silence speaks the loudest.

Starring Bonnie Piesse, Daniel Lundh and Mabel Hoekstra Ferreira, The Rocket tells its story through images, rhythm and small gestures rather than explanation.

01 / The challenge

Let the audience feel the loss without explaining it.

The story needed to hold grief, memory and hope in only a few minutes. Dialogue would have made it easier to understand, but less honest to experience.

02 / The idea

Balance closeness with stillness.

The visual language combines intimate, handheld immediacy with contemplative compositions. The restored model rocket becomes the physical action through which memory can move toward healing.
